Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 April 2026

TL;DR

The Streaky app has no backend, no account system, no cloud sync, and no analytics - every habit, check-in, streak, achievement, and rewarded-ad unlock lives only on your phone. There are no subscriptions and no in-app purchases; Google AdMob shows ads (banner, occasional interstitial, and opt-in rewarded video) to keep the app free. Our website (streaky.site) uses Google Analytics to count visits, but nothing from the app is ever shared with it.

This Privacy Policy describes how the Streaky mobile application ("Streaky", "we", "us", or "the app") and our marketing website at streaky.site ("the website") handle information when you use them. We believe privacy is a right, not a feature. Streaky is built from the ground up to keep your personal data on your device, while using a single advertising partner to support the app and a single analytics tool to measure traffic on the website. Unless otherwise noted, each section below describes the app; website-specific handling is covered in Section 5.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Streaky does not collect, transmit, or process any of the following:

We have no backend servers, no account system, and no cloud sync. Everything you do inside Streaky itself stays on your device.

2. Information Stored Locally

All of the data you create inside Streaky is stored only on your device using standard iOS and Android local storage mechanisms (AsyncStorage). This data includes:

This data is sandboxed to the app and cannot be accessed by other apps. When you uninstall Streaky, this data is automatically deleted by your operating system.

3. Notifications

Streaky can send you local reminders if you choose to set them. Local notifications are scheduled by your operating system and never leave your device. Streaky does not use remote push notifications and does not connect to any notification server.

To enable reminders, Streaky will request permission from your operating system. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device settings. Denying the permission will not affect any other feature of the app.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

To keep the app free of charge, Streaky shows ads provided by Google AdMob (operated by Google LLC). Specifically, you may encounter three ad formats inside the app:

To serve ads, AdMob may collect and process a limited set of information, including:

Your consent is collected through Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another GDPR jurisdiction, you will see a Google consent form on first launch where you can accept or refuse personalized advertising and related data processing. If you refuse, the AdMob SDK only requests non-personalized ads. You can reopen this form at any time via Profile → Ad privacy.

On iOS, we use Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT). The system-level ATT prompt asks whether Streaky may track you across other companies' apps and websites. Allow enables personalized ads; Ask App Not to Track keeps ads non-personalized. Outside GDPR regions where UMP does not apply, ATT is the only mechanism - you can change the choice later in iOS Settings → Streaky.

Streaky never sends your habits, check-ins, or any content you create to AdMob or any other third party. The information described above is collected directly by Google, not by us.

You can learn more about how Google uses information from partner sites and apps at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and about AdMob specifically at support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543.

5. Website Analytics & Cookies (streaky.site)

The marketing website at streaky.site uses Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google LLC) to understand how many people visit the site, which pages they read, and where they come from. This applies only to the website - the mobile app itself does not contain analytics of any kind.

We use Google Consent Mode v2. The first time you visit streaky.site we show a cookie banner with two clearly labelled choices:

Until you make a choice, Google Analytics runs in denied state. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage under a single key (streaky_consent_v1). You can change your mind at any time by clicking the link - this reopens the banner so you can update your choice.

When you accept, Google Analytics may process:

We use this aggregate data purely to see which parts of the website are useful and to improve content. We do not build profiles of individual visitors, and we do not share the data with anyone other than Google. You can also opt out at the browser level by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, by enabling "Do Not Track", or by blocking third-party scripts with a content blocker.

Google's own documentation of what GA4 collects is available at support.google.com/analytics/answer/11593727, and details of Consent Mode v2 at support.google.com/analytics/answer/9976101.

Advertising on this website (Google AdSense)

Alongside the ads inside the mobile app, the pages of streaky.site may display advertising served by Google AdSense. This is separate from the AdMob advertising described in Section 4, which applies only to the app.

AdSense is covered by the same consent banner as analytics. Until you choose Accept, advertising storage is set to denied under Consent Mode v2, which means no advertising cookies are written and no advertising identifier is associated with you. Choosing Decline keeps it that way permanently, and you can change your choice at any time using the Manage cookie settings link above.

When advertising storage is allowed, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Depending on your settings and region this can include personalised advertising. Google's description of how it uses information from sites that use its services is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can control the ads you see at myadcenter.google.com.

Website advertising never has access to anything you track in the app. Your habits, check-ins and streaks are stored only on your phone and are never transmitted to this website or to any advertising network.

6. Other Third-Party Services

Apart from Google AdMob (app only, described in Section 4) and Google Analytics (website only, described in Section 5), Streaky does not embed any other third-party SDKs, analytics tools, or tracking pixels. The app connects to the internet only to serve ads and when you explicitly tap a link that opens in your browser.

7. Children's Privacy

Streaky is suitable for all ages. Streaky itself does not collect any information, and advertising is served using Google's child-safe policies (maximum ad content rating set to "PG" and personalized advertising disabled). The app is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by design.

8. Data Export and Deletion

You are in full control of your data at all times:

9. Security & App Lock

Because your data never leaves your device, it is protected by the same hardware-backed security your operating system uses for all local app data. We recommend keeping your device OS up to date and using a screen lock.

For an extra layer of protection, Streaky offers an optional App Lock you can enable in Profile → App Lock. When it is on, opening the app requires Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint, or your device passcode. The authentication is handled entirely by your operating system - Streaky never stores or transmits your biometric data or passcode.

10. International Users

Streaky can be used anywhere in the world. The content you create inside the app never leaves your device. Advertising data is processed by Google on servers in the locations listed in Google's own privacy documentation. If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, Google acts as an independent data controller for the ad-related information it collects.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time - for example, if we add features in future versions that change how data is handled. Any update will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we ever introduce changes that meaningfully affect your data, we will clearly inform you inside the app before those changes take effect.

12. Contact

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or anything else about the app, please write to us at support@streaky.site. We read every message.
