Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Streaky mobile application ("Streaky", "the app", "we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using Streaky, you agree to these Terms. If you disagree with any part, please do not use the app.

1. The Service

Streaky is a habit-tracking mobile application for iOS and Android. It lets you create habits, check them off, track streaks, earn achievements, and visualize your progress. All functionality runs entirely on your device.

2. License & Price

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Streaky for your personal, non-commercial purposes. The app is free to download and free to use. Streaky has no subscriptions and no in-app purchases; the app is supported entirely by advertising (see Section 5).

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the app
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices
• Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws
• Redistribute or resell the app or any part of it

3. Your Data

All data you create in Streaky is stored only on your device. You are solely responsible for backing up your data. We strongly recommend using the built-in Export feature periodically (Profile → Export data) once you have unlocked it, if your habit history matters to you.

We are not liable for any data loss resulting from device failure, OS updates, app uninstallation, or any other cause. Since we have no servers, we cannot recover your data.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Streaky only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. Streaky is provided as a personal productivity tool; it is not a medical device, coaching service, or professional health advice. If you have health or mental-health concerns, please consult a qualified professional.

5. Advertising & Rewarded Unlocks

Streaky shows ads to fund development. There are three ad formats and one of them lets you unlock optional features:

• Banner ads appear at the bottom of non-editing screens.
• A single interstitial ad may appear once per app session, after you unlock a new achievement.
• Rewarded video ads are strictly opt-in and only ever play after you tap a "Watch ad" button yourself. We never force a rewarded ad on you.

By watching a rewarded ad to completion, you can permanently unlock any of the following on this device:

• +5 additional active habit slots (base limit is 5; the maximum total is 100)
• Full 52-week activity heatmap (free view shows 15 weeks)
• The complete habit-icon set
• The complete habit-color palette
• Bonus achievements
• JSON backup & restore (Export data and Import backup)

Each unlock is granted automatically once Google AdMob signals that the rewarded ad was watched in full and a reward should be issued. Unlocks are stored locally on your device, tied to this installation only, and are not transmitted to us or any third party. They are not transferable between devices and are removed if you uninstall the app or use Profile → Reset all data. Because there is no purchase, there is also no refund: watching a rewarded ad is free of charge.

The advertising partner used to deliver these ads is Google AdMob. The ad-related data Google may collect, and your consent and opt-out controls, are described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual Property

The Streaky name, logo, app design, code, and all related content are our property and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Streaky is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs. We do not warrant that any issues will be corrected, or that the app is compatible with every device or OS version.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your use of or inability to use the app
• Any bugs, errors, or inaccuracies in the app
• Any loss of data stored on your device
• Any other matter relating to the app

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the app shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the app (which is currently zero).

9. Third-Party App Stores

You acquire the app through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Your use of the app is also subject to the terms and policies of those stores. Those stores are not parties to these Terms and have no obligation to provide support for the app.

10. Changes to the App

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any consequences of such changes.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after the update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using Streaky at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the app will be resolved in the competent courts of your jurisdiction.
